DID SHE JUST SAY WHAT I THINK SHE SAID?

So, earlier today, my dear husband was watching 30 Minute Meals with Rachael Ray. And, apparently, she was doing a dish from Switzerland and she actually said the following:

"I wonder how they say Yumm-o in Swiss. Or Swedish. Or whatever they speak in Switzerland."

Note to Rachael: You shouldn't even being say Yumm-o in English. Or American. Or whatever we speak in the United States.

Then, to add insult to geographical injury, I was watching the Family Feud just a few short hours later (don't judge me; I had a hard day). And the following monstrosity of a conversation took place:

Host Richard Karn: "Name a country where they are known for their world-class skiers."

Hyper, giggly, 20-something contestant: Um....I'm going to go with....(yells while clapping and jumping up and down) SOUTH AMERICA!

Yeah, that was a definite strike.

And she came from the family that actually won.

PS-Two posts in one day? I KNOW!

Reminds me of the time when I was at the beach with my cousin and we pretended that my name was Janny (pronounced Yanny) and that I was from "Dutch" and spoke Pig-Latin.

O say unny fay!

(The sad thing is we thought Dutch was an actual place.)

Oh, the memories...
