Not to be pessimistic or anything, but it is nearly October. Do you realize what this means? If not, allow me to take this opportunity to enlighten you. It means that we are about to kiss good weather good-bye until April.
Or May.
I've heard it sometimes snows here in June.
So, for now, I am shopping for the boy's snow parka and boots and trying to remain grateful for days like this:



So, this winter, rest assured that I will be thinking warm thoughts, missing my kid's rosy cheeks and sun-kissed hair, and scraping ice off of my windsheild.
Lots and lots of ice.

Don't feel bad, it snowed here on the 15th of September! Middle daughter says, "ya know Mom, technically it is still Summer!" Yeah, this California-raised Mom does know...
