Take pictures. Lots of them. Because, well, there's nothing else to do and it entertains the kids. We mostly take extreme close-ups because as soon as I pull out the camera, my kids start clamoring over who gets to hold it (answer: I DO!) Kind of like this:

Notice that she is holding one of his hands back and his other is preoccupied with his cup. This gave her the clear-cut advantage and she made it to the camera first. Of course, tears ensued when I informed her that, despite all her efforts, children were, alas, not allowed to touch Mom's camera.

The boy likes to stay close. He actually spent several minutes struggling with how to get his sippy cup in his mouth from this position. Instead of helping, I took pictures.

This picture made me sad because when we first bought this house for my daughter, she just had to duck her head to walk through the door. Now, she has to crawl through on all fours and it's still a tight fit at that. This may be the last picture of her for awhile because she now has a cut, bruise, and goose-egg on her forehead and a fat lip. Those were actually from two separate incidents (stocking hanger fell on head, car door hit her mouth). What is it about 3 year olds and being accident prone?

He likes to drink from his sippy cup upside down. He has to tip it much further back but he doesn't seem to mind the extra work. (Does his head look huge and his feet tiny in this picture? Is he like that all the time and I just haven't noticed?)

Look! He is growing hair! It is as soft as a baby chick. Or a puppy. Whatever imagery works for you. I just want to hold him and rub my face in it all the time. He is not as thrilled about this arrangement as I am, but he loves his mother so he accomodates my obsession from time to time.

Of course, he looked away right as I snapped this picture. Oh, well. She's making a funny face and it's a little blurry anyway. But still, they're mine and they sure are cute.

Two words: Cage match.
I think I could take the oldest, but The Dozen would work me.
