Today was a good day. Besides the fact that Cameron slept through the night last night (9pm to 5:15am, a quick bottle and then back to bed) and Lauren and Baker didn't wake up until 7:40, we did lots of fun, yet ordinary stuff. After dropping the kids off at my in-laws (honestly, they get so excited for that you'd think I was taking them to Disneyland), I went to meet with our realtor. (More on that in an upcoming post. Spoiler alert: Buying a house is not for the faint of heart!) When I went to pick up the kids about an hour later, Grandpa gives us one of these, "WHO WANTS TO GO TO MCDONALDS?!" Again, the Disneyland effect comes into play. So, a nice lunch and back to my parent's house, where we are currently living, husband- and father-less. Baker took a nap that lasted nearly 4 hours and so Lauren, Cameron and I had a nice girls-only afternoon. It included enjoying the backyard and afternoon sun:
Cameron HATED the cold pool water and only lasted long enough for me to take this quick picture.
On the other hand, she absolutely LOVES sitting in the shade and feeling the soft, warm afternoon breeze. It is one of her favorite things and the best way to calm her down if she is ever fussy.

Still mad at me for putting her in the cold water.

Then, I ditched my kids with my parents while I ran to the grocery store ALONE. I get so excited for this, you'd think I was getting to go to Disneyland.
Later, this was my view from across the dinner table:

I mean, seriously, it just doesn't get any better than that.
What's your favorite, ordinary activity for the day?

I used to love hearing little footsteps running around above my head or coming down the stairs. Now the cute little footsteps are MIA :(
Cameron is so expressive! Great pictures :)
I would say my favorite ordinary activity would be sneaking ice cream or candy when Nate is in bed ;) It just makes you feel like you're getting away with something! Though, I'm sure, all too soon he'll be saying the same thing about what he does when Mommy's in bed...
I LOVE the suit! What adorable kiddles! Ordinary activities? I'm fairly certain I don't have many of those. But I guess if I had to find one or two it would be browsing through Target for an hour or so alone and the other would be sneaking in at night to watch my kids sleep. I love those moments!
