I think I've hardly written about The Dozen on this blog and I have that "my big sister's scrapbook is 400 pages long and Mom hasn't even ordered my birth certificate yet" kind of feeling. So, here's a little about the happiest man on earth:
1. He is sitting up like a pro.
2. He finally loves baby food.
3. Yesterday, he waved for the first time and today he clapped.
4. He is the stinkiest baby I've ever seen (or smelled). I've actually had people ask me what's wrong with him.
5. He has regressed in sleeping through the night and has us exhausted again.
6. More often than not, his diaper leaks at church and he has to go through half the time in just a diaper and a blanket (if I even remembered the blanket).
7. He is tied for first for the cutest, happiest baby I've ever had.

Post #2:
Do you ever think that you keep telling your children you love them because YOU need the reminder? That was me today. Not the boy so much because, except for explosive diapers about 3-4 times a day, he's alright. No big deal. Make sure he has regular meals and naps and access to some toys and he's happy as can be. Easy.
His sister, on the other hand? Somedays I just don't know what to do with that girl. If it wasn't for the fact that we're living with my in-laws so my mother-in-law was here to handle some of her tantrums, I don't think either one of us would have survived the day. So, in order to remind myself how much I actually do love her (because she's in bed now and things seem much better), here is a list of some of the funny experiences, quotes, etc. I get to witness on a daily basis (you know, between meltdowns):
1. Watching her show her baby brother how a toy works.
2. "Mommy, when I go to preschool, do you get to go with me?"
3. (when told to behave) "But, Daddy, I AM HAVE!"
4. Walking around the yard with an empty watering can, pretending to water the flowers.
5. When asked if her Daddy's name is Brian, she replied, "Yes, but his other name is Dad."
6. Doing the voices for all her food at every meal and the funny conversations they have with each other.
7. Reading a book to herself by turning the pages and saying, "Read, read, read" in a high-pitched voice.
8. Snuggling and singing primary songs at bedtime.
9. And finally, announcing, "I don't think nothing is cuter than me!"
Thanks for the reminder, hon. I needed that.
