We had absolutely gorgeous weather for Easter weekend. It was so bright and sunny and warm and we just couldn't get enough of it. We had an Easter egg hunt with our friends outside on Sunday afternoon. That is where my husband took these pictures of my kids, which just happen to be some of my favorite pictures of them
EVER.

Do you see that
amazing clear blue sky behind my daughter and that
patch of sunlight on my son's head? It just doesn't get any better than that, in my opinion. I think I could stare at these pictures all day long.
Some other highlights from the weekend include:

Wearing shorts and t-shirts outside and still getting hot. That hasn't happened around here since, like, August.

My son and hunting Easter eggs. His favorite activity right now is taking things out of their containers and then putting them back in again.
Over. And over. And over. So, you can imagine how he took to the whole eggs-go-into-the-basket thing. Oh, and
BY THE WAY,
he's walking now (and it only took 17 1/2 months!). So, that definitely added to the fun.

Dyeing Easter eggs with my in-laws. It is always so fun (and funny) sitting around doing crafty projects with people and just talking and hanging out. You learn a lot about people that way. My daughter is finally old enough to get really into this sort of thing and not make a huge mess, so that was awesome, too.

Our Sunday afternoon walk at the Arboretum on campus. You just can't beat a good nature walk. Especially with my son right behind my head, pointing to everything he sees and yelling, "Was dat?!" Is he a gorgeous boy or what? Did I mention yet that
HE'S WALKING?We also did a lot of shopping, eating, and hanging out. It was a great weekend and a big shout out to my in-laws for coming up and spending it with us.
How was your Easter weekend?

Looks like you had fun. We had a similar weekend, full of THREE Easter egg hunts, a ward picnic, dinner with the family, etc... We are drowning in chocolate, but I am okay with that.
Good for you! And what great photos. My Easter Weekend was fabulous, mainly because it was also my birthday weekend. I, like you, got to share it with many loved ones.
Weird, my Easter sounded VERY similar to yours....
I'd like to point out that the yellow egg I am holding up was a pretty sweet bumblebee. Yeah, I'm talented like that.
