So, I was driving along today with the kids in the back (of course) and Lauren suddenly breaks the silence with this, "Mom, what does Dooglegum mean?" I said, "Dooglegum?!" And she rolls her eyes and says, "No! Googledom!" I asked, "What is Googledom?" (Um, hello, that's what she is asking me.) This went back and forth several times, with me trying desperately to understand what she was saying. I was laughing so hard by this point and she was just getting more and more upset and I finally said, "Honey, I can't understand you. I've never heard of Googledom before." She is really frustrated with her stupid mother at this point and says, "You know. Googledom, like online?!" Suddenly, a light bulb went off in my head and I said, "You mean Google Them?" And she rolls her eyes and throws her hands up in the air and says, in a very exasperated tone, "Yes, Mom. Google Them. What does it mean?"
So I had to explain to my four year old what it meant to Google something.
And, as I'm writing this, I'm beginning to wonder how she even knows about being online.

Well, if she starts talking about wanting a Wii.....
I had nothing to do with it.
Chef: I've said it before and I'll say it again -- put it in a nice letter to Santa. Because you are going to need some kind of magic for that wish to come true.
