LOST IN TRANSLATION

On Monday, from the very back of the van, Lauren suddenly asks,

"Mom, which is more important:
Santa being born or Jesus being born?"

(!) (That's how I felt at that moment)

We are coming up on her sixth Christmas and somehow, somewhere along the way (I'm embarrassed to admit), this explanation got lost. I say lost because I know it's been told. Absolutely and for sure we have discussed this with her. Every year. But, she is only five, after all. At least, that's what I say to make myself feel better.

I think I have some explaining to do. . .

LOL! That's great :)

A friend of mine said her little boy said that Joseph Smith was Jesus' father! It took us a while to figure out that, while he was correct in hearing the "Joseph," he filled in the "Smith" himself ;) Hey, it is a common name, after all (I mean, "Smith" is Hebrew, right? *giggle*)

That is awesome! You are a good mom! I love hearing all your dilemmas because they are right around the corner for me...
