EASTER

We had a good, traditional Easter. On Saturday, we went to my in-laws to dye Easter eggs and have a big Ham dinner.
Cameron really, really wanted to get at the eggs but grandpa wouldn't let her.
Finished products.
This morning, we tried to get some pictures before church. It is ridiculously hard to get three kids under the age of six to sit still and smile at the same time. We started off on the stairs, but Cameron was really scared sitting there and wouldn't stop crying.
So, we moved to the couch. Not the greatest photos of all time, but at least they are all happy, right?
The Easter bunny came while we were at church, so all the Easter basket and egg hunt stuff happened afterward. Baker immediately found the egg in his basket with the dollar bill in it. The kid LOVES money.
I love how babies have no idea what is going on during holidays, but they are super excited anyway.
It was a great Easter. We loved spending the day together as a family. On Saturday night, I asked the kids why we celebrate Easter. Baker immediately responded, "For candy!" Lauren at least thought about it for a second before coming up with "Easter egg hunts?" So, we had a talk with them about what Easter is really about and why it is so important to us. We believe that, while Christ's atonement and crucifixion have deep and significant meanings in our lives, it is His Resurrection that gives us the hope of eternal life. To know that we can be together forever as a family and be reunited after death brings us our greatest happiness and our greatest goal to help each other achieve. We are grateful for this blessing and for the opportunity to be reminded of it at this time of year. For more info on what we believe, click on the "This is What I Know" button on my sidebar.
Happy Easter!
