A VERY BELATED BIRTHDAY

I realize that both my girls had their birthdays nearly two months ago so I hope you will forgive this very late and very long update.

We started off the birthday celebrations by getting a swing set. It was one of those things we were going to get anyway, so we decided to count it as a joint present for the girls. It is good that Brian's parents got Cameron a bucket swing to add onto it or else she would never be able to use it!

I don't have very many pictures of Cameron's birthday because she NEVER holds still and every one I took is blurry.

Here are her one year stats, in case you are interested: She weighs just over 20 pounds and is the smallest one of all my babies. All her measurements are in the 50th percentile, whereas Lauren was always around the 75th-90th and Baker was completely off the charts. But, she has out-done her siblings by already growing 12 teeth! With a few more on the way! I don't know how many teeth babies get overall, but she has got to be close to having them all. She has the cutest little smile and everywhere we go, people comment about her perfect, white teeth. The only drawback is that the kid is a serious biter. She has drawn blood with those chompers and leaves nice, teeth shaped bruises on everyone. Unfortunately for her, we have started calling her Vampire Baby. Hopefully, she will outgrow this soon.

Lauren had an awesome birthday, too. It was the first time she had a Friends Only party. The theme was Butterflies and Flowers and she was the sweetest little hostess for all her friends. I think the most telling story is that, at her party, everyone else left plates of half-eaten cake and ice cream to run off and play and Lauren sat there alone, cleaning her plate and asking for seconds. She has a serious sweet tooth!
For Lauren's birthday dinner, we went to a local pizza parlor with our family and the grandparents. As always, Lauren loved being the center of attention. The restaurant she chose does not serve dessert, so I had to bring our own. Have you ever had the ice cream cupcakes from Cold Stone? They are to die for. The outside "cup" is chocolate and then they have a layer of cake, a layer of ice cream, and layer of fudge, whipped cream topping and sprinkles, cookies, or chocolate curls on the very top. Eating more than one will send you into a diabetic coma, but they are totally worth it.
Lauren has become a total girly-girl and was thrilled to get new clothes, a jewelry box and the Rainbow Fairy book collection. But, her favorite thing overall was birthday money to go shopping and buy her VERY OWN CLOTHES. I was not allowed any say in what she picked out, which made me nervous, but she picked some really cute stuff that actually matched. I can only imagine what this will be like when she is a teenager!

I love spending May celebrating my silly, sweet girls!
Do you love Cameron's picture face? You can click on it to see it better but this is what she does whenever you point a camera at her.

Happy Birthday Girls! Cameron is SO cute! Her teeth ARE pretty amazing! I can't believe Lauren is so big. I love that she isn't afraid to just take time to enjoy her cake!
Oh and now I'm dying to try one of those cupcakes. My sister works at coldstone and I've never heard about them. I'll have to get on that!
Thanks for the update!
