BABY NO MORE

Cameron is two! Her birthday was on Tuesday and it was one of those experiences where I couldn't decide if we should have a big to-do or not, since she obviously wouldn't know the difference. In fact, I asked her what she wanted for her birthday dinner and she said "Fruit snacks!" So, we ordered pizza. We had cake with all her grandparents and the great-grandparents that live in town. She got some great gifts, especially some super cute summer outfits that she would look adorable in if it would ever stop snowing.

It took me a while to figure out why she seems like such a baby to me still and I think it's because she looks almost exactly like Lauren at this age, but Lauren had hair down to her shoulders by this point. The no-hair thing just makes her seem so much younger than she is.

Things Cameron is loving at the age of two: TV (especially Phineas and Ferb and Blue's Clues), being outside (especially running into the street), church (ie: going to nursery and screaming all through sacrament meeting that she wants to go to nursery), screaming in general, both of her grandpas, dancing and singing to Miley Cyrus/Hannah Montana (yes, she knows the words and sings along), Mr. Potato Head, and cats (it is a serious and scary obsession).

She is finally starting to figure out "pretend play" and spends most of the day pretending to be a cat or making me pretend to be a cat. She says the cutest prayers and loves to give hugs and kisses. She is my most fiercely independent child (which is saying a lot when you consider I also have Lauren). She has absolutely NO FEAR in any capacity, except when it comes to monsters. (Don't ask.)

We love this brand-new toddler and all her quirks and funny personality traits. And, as Lauren said in the birthday card she made for Cameron, "Have a nice time being two!"

I can't believe are babies are not babies anymore! And they have so much in common: change the TV shows to The Wiggles and Special Agent Oso and change the cat obsession to dogs; that's Allie. Everything else sounds pretty much like Allison too. We need to get the girls together again!
