So, today is our 6 year anniversary. I'm a little torn because I wanted to write something about it and, you know, fulfill your dream of having an entire post devoted solely to you, but I don't want it to be cheesy or mushy or, like, too romantic and whatnot. So, here is my list of why I'm glad I married you (and not just because I was about to graduate from BYU and wasn't married yet -- I promise).
1. Not only do you love to cook, you do it exceptionally well and insist on doing it just about every night of the week.
2. Not only do you tolerate bathing the kids, you do it pretty well and put up with me insisting you do it just about every night of the week.
3. For two consecutive days, I have caught you unashamedly watching Saved by the Bell.
4. The little looks we get to give each other over the Daughter's head when she has said something so funny but we both know that we can't laugh out loud or she will get embarrassed.
5. You have nursed me through the many health issues we have had to put up with during our marriage (ie: migraines, kidney stones, wisdom teeth, appendicitis while pregnant, pregnancy twice, and PMS countless times). You of course have rarely, if ever, gotten sick.
6. You don't mind that I have a major crush on Ruud and I don't mind that you have a major crush on Giada (but she is really annoying). I suddenly realized that we need to find people with normal names to have crushes on.
7. How for some reason when you were a kid your imaginary friend was a Chinese chef. I don't know why I love that, I just do.
8. You really love our kids. And it shows.
9. You make me laugh. A lot.
10. For this one, I was going to quote my favorite Dixie Chicks song but I won't because I know how much you don't like them. I will just say this and be done with it: You make my life peaceful, make me feel at ease, and make me feel safe in this world.
And that is why I love you.

So sweet.....Chef owes you a majorly romantic reply.
No pressure.
P.S. What is your favorite Dixie Chicks song?
P.S.S. Love the Chinese chef as the imaginary friend...that explains a lot.
Sarita: D.C. song is called "Easy Silence". It's on their new album. Quite possibly my favorite song in general. It's really great.
And, yes, the Chinese chef DOES explain a whole lot. Of course, his other imaginary friend was a genie. I'm not quite sure what that explains, though.
So, here's my list. I like to call it "My Public Display of Affection Towards the Sexiest Lady on the Face of the Earth"
1. You're smokin'
2. You are cooler than me, and that raises my cool status just by association.
3. You have ridiculously cute kids, and that raises my cool statuts just by association. (You're pretty good at taking care of them as well.)
4. You created a whole blog post about me.
5. You pretend to care about Man Utd, even though I know it's just a ploy to sneak a peek at Ruud.
6. You're wiling to take care of two kids with a combined age of less than 4, while I'm at school all day...translation: while I play ping-pong all day...just kiding...kind of.
7. You can't roll your "R's"
8. You don't complain about the enormous messes I leave in the kitchen each night.... Great taste takes space, baby.
9. You're smokin'... yeah, it's worth a double
10. You're the best wife a guy could hope for. Plain and simple.
Peace out my homie...
(oh yeah, and I love you, too.)
Giada is annoying.
