TAKE THAT, ECONOMY!

Baker's birthday will be coming up in a few weeks. I plan on doing a big post about it then, but I just had to show a few pictures of the present Brian and I gave him a little early. We decided it was time for a big boy bed, but the economy being what it is (crappy), we weren't sure we wanted to spend money on new furniture. That's when luck took over. A local furniture store was closing one of its locations and, therefore, was having a huge clearance sale. We went to look around and found this adorable bed for 50% off. Brian also knows the owner of the store (bonus of moving back to your hometown) so we got an additional 10% off for that connection. A trip to Target for the bedding, and we were set. Baker now has the best-made and most comfortable bed in the house. (And the most expensive birthday present on record!)

The best part was that Brian didn't have to work today, so he and Baker got to build the bed together. They had so much fun and Baker kept singing, "Teamwork, teamwork" while he handed Brian tools. It was so cute.

Brian keeps telling me the economy is bad so we shouldn't spend money. But, I say the only thing that will help the economy is if people actually do spend money. Plus, businesses are tanking and that is the perfect time to take advantage of clearance prices.

Now that's an economic policy I can live with!

**Just before publishing this post, I saw that the Dow made the biggest one-day gain in history.

You're welcome.

I was thinking of Baker the other day and missing his awesome hair and smile. Seriously miss you guys! We have no cool stairwell neighbors anymore.
Love the bed! Tell Baker Happy Birthday and give him a squeeze

So absolutely boy! It looks just like the Thomas bed from Pottery Barn. Scary that I know these things. :( What a fun room complete with the Beckham soccer wall hanging! We dig it!
